A primary activity is to support the implementation of the new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Process Control System (PCS) in the newly-qualified Taunton Precision Chemistry Manufacturing Facility. The Taunton plant produces all of Waters’ stationary phase LC media utilizing specialized chemical processing equipment. The plant is highly automated and virtually “paperless”, with the MES and PCS serving as critical components of a new, “Industry 4.0” Integrated Manufacturing System.
