  • Overview

    This position is part of a dynamic team responsible for the development of Waters' global Food & Environmental business. The role will focus on driving growth of the global Environmental business by owning the design and development of marketing programs and by implementing those programs effectively with the field organisation.

     

    In addition the role is also responsible for representing the interests of the Environmental market in the development and commercialization of new product and services. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of the future growth of a key market segment and to define and implement strategies that support health and well being through meeting the needs of customers across global food and environmental markets.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the development of the Food & Environmental (F&E) business strategy and tactical implementation by identifying target segments, business opportunities and applications for Waters technologies in Environmental markets.
    • Design and develop marketing programs to support growth of the Environmental business.

    • Work with field organisation and supporting groups to effectively implement marketing programs. This requires liaising internally with F&E science and strategic teams. Externally liaising with field marketing, product marketing, other market segments, marketing services, the sales organisation, customers and prospects.

    • Represent market segment interests by providing technical and market segment input into the development of current and new products and services.

    • Gather data and provide analysis of competitors, customer insights, and strategies for value creation.

    • Monitor, collate and report performance and trends in the Environmental business and work with regional teams to achieve budgets.

    • Undertake domestic and overseas travel in support of the work of the group and of the global markets field organisation.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. in Chemistry, Environmental Science or Engineering required; MBA desired.
    • Significant (minimum 5 years) commercial/marketing experience and/or experience of a customer facing role and in particular, experience of the environmental testing market.

    • Able to demonstrate experience and understanding of chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques in Environmental based applications. Strong GC/MS/MS and LC/MS/MS knowledge is highly preferrable. Knowledge of high resolution MS is desirable.

    • Must demonstrate ability to work in cross functional teams to advance goals.
