Reporting to the Director of Strategic Product Marketing, This is a unique opportunity to play a highly visible role to develop and execute on strategies for new Waters products and services. To drive these activities you must be a strong influencer and negotiator, who is self- motivated and has a proven track record of strategic thinking, marketing and communication. You should be capable of developing new and innovative strategies that challenge the status quo while ensuring that change is delivered in a sustainable way.
This function will work closely with the Market Category teams in all key markets, the Development and Product Owner teams, as well as the Product Marketing Teams in support of commercialization activities. Partnership with the Field Teams is expected to drive our position as the world’s leading Specialty Measurement Company.
Work closely with the market segment teams to drive Waters strategic plan. Meet regularly with key customers and industry stakeholders.
With the market teams, understand customer’s needs. Develop insights into the product and platform capabilities required to differentiate in the market. Develop comprehensive marketing requirements for new opportunities and work cross functionally with market and product teams to generate proposals that aid in the justification and prioritization of products
Maintain strong broad market knowledge and stay current on Laboratory Analytical Instrument industry trends to incorporate as appropriate into the strategy. Perform macro market assessments as needed to quantify current and future market size estimates.
Develop deep understanding of competitor strategies across platforms. Work with product marketing to provide the field with tools/training to combat these and product owners to maintain our competitive leadership.
Identify and assess the value of key partnerships and potential commercial relationships to support our product and platform strategy. Work closely with the strategic relations manager and the corporate development office as needed for partnership and M&A activities.
Support the market category and product marketing teams as needed to ensure successful commercialization of new product releases, capabilities and marketing campaigns
