  • Overview

    The Director, Digital Marketing & Web Strategy will be responsible for expanding Waters’ global presence across multi-channel digital initiatives to generate leads, deepen engagement, meet financial goals and build on the Waters brand.  The individual will manage a team of 20+ people and will be a key member of the Marketing leadership team. 


    • A thought leader and experienced business leader with a passion for delivering world-class digital experiences and who understands how to leverage the web as a customer engagement, demand generation, sales and service channel.
    • Lead the overall development, growth and strategic direction of Waters’ website presence in support of company business objectives.
    • Integrate digital with other demand initiatives and marketing campaigns to provide and end-to-end digital experience that delights customers and drives the scientific buyers journey.
    • In partnership with the Sr. Director Global Marketing Services and stakeholders from across the business; create a vision for how digital can help Waters achieve business goals. Define desired end state, identify technology needs and align teams to deliver measurable performance.
    • Lead a cross-functional team responsible for envisioning, building, designing and optimizing the digital customer experience across all phases of the scientific buyer’s journey.


    • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.
    • 10+ years web/omnichannel management experience with demonstrated success optimizing digital channels for brand and demand creation objectives.
    • Extensive knowledge of digital strategies with particular emphasis on B2B to drive customer engagement and conversions. Experience in developing short and long term strategic plans, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and tactical execution.
    • Experience in Digital Product Management including Agile framework.
    • Experience developing user experiences for various personas and buyer journeys.
    • Technical understanding of digital demand generation tactics including SEO, SEM, Social Media, Email Marketing, Video and Digital Advertising.
    • Extensive knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, tools, and techniques for measuring impact and return on investment.
    • Expertise with digital KPIs and best practices combined with superior analytic skills and an ROI mindset. Ability to compile, analyze and leverage data to identify new opportunities and optimize current campaigns. 
    • Track record of optimizing conversions using a test & learn methodology. Previous experience with A/B and multivariate testing. 
    • Energetic, passionate and articulate communicator who can convey information to a wide variety of internal and external audiences. Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, proven ability to form strong cross-functional relationships, and ability to manage differing points of views across broad sets of stakeholders
    • Optimistic and inspiring ‘change agent’ with a clear record of building and leading high performing digital teams.
    • Highly self-motivated and directed.
