  • Overview

    Waters Corporation is currently looking for an Inside Sales Specialist. The role would be located in our headquarters in Milford, MA.




    • Drive Sales - Independently and collaboratively by increasing market-share at existing accounts and by prospecting within their territory for new business opportunities.
    • Sales Competencies - Identify opportunities to cross sell other complementary Waters Products.
    • Quote Generation – creation of customer inquiries and orders.
    • Customer Relationship Building - Communication with and sell to end users and decision makers. 
    • Goals - Meet or exceed sales oriented metrics.
    • Business Development - Preparing and implementing comprehensive Business Development activities/strategies for assigned sales territory.
    • Data Analytics -Utilizing territory reports and updates on business development initiatives in order to target prospects.
    • Database Management - Utilizing Waters CRM to track sales activities, open opportunities and campaign follow-up initiatives.
    • Occasionally traveling to their specified sales territory to support customer visits, seminars and internal planning meetings.



    • Bachelor’s degree is required. A science degree (e.g., chemistry, biology, food science, clinical science, nutrition) is preferred. 
    • 2+ years of laboratory and/or sales experience is preferred.
    • Basic understanding of chromatography is desired.
    • Strong understanding of chemistries, reagents, consumables as they pertain to LC/MS instrumentation is preferred.
    • Understanding of the scientific workflow of utilizing LC/MS techniques is preferred
    • Effective “Diagnostic Selling” skills.
    • Candidate must be customer-focused and have exceptional written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills.
