  • Overview

    Waters Corporation is currently leading a search for a Software Engineering Manager to join our Informatics Business in our Milford office.  In this role, the individual will have an opportunity to work in an exciting, fast paced environment as an "agile manager".


    Specifically, your role will be to coach the teams you manage, mentor and develop employees to fulfill their potential and remove roadblocks to their work. Other responsibilities include working and collaborating with the Informatics senior management team to facilitate, guide and improve our Agile Transformation.


    • Provide leadership for our software development team of about 25 people
    • Support and nurture a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team as well as the overall Global Informatics Team
    • Provide development teams with the resources and skills needed to deliver against product roadmaps
    • Execute alignment of objectives with Corporate Goals
    • Foster an environment of continuous learning and development for each team member, and ensure that individuals are provided with enough time to hone and advance their skills
    • Be a solutions driven leader, help to resolve team specific impediments
    • Carry out regular reviews of performance, objectives and professional development
    • Build a culture focused on speed and agility with outward focus on the customer


    • Minimum education of a High School Diploma required
    • 3+ years' experience managing and developing software engineers in a high performing environment
    • 7+ years' experience in a hands-on software development, testing or other hands-on software related discipline
    • Ability to convert strategy into deliverables for the team
    • Capable of solving complex problems
    • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
    • Excellent communication and decision making skills
