    Waters Corporation is looking for Market Development Manager to be apart of the Americas Food and Environmental Market Development group.

    Waters is looking for a Botanical and Natural Products focused Market Manager who will be responsible and accountable for the development and execution of a business plan that achieves the Americas-wide budget for the complete product portfolio within the Botanical and Natural Products space.  This includes Waters’ Instruments, Mass Spectrometry, Supercritical Fluid technologies, Informatics, and Consumables solutions.  Through a good understanding customer requirements and market dynamics, the individual will collaboratively develop and support sales strategies within Americas’ sales territories, while also influencing corporate marketing approaches and product development. The Americas BNS Market Manager is a key component of the wider Americas Food & Environmental Marketing team.


    • Tactical Plan Design and Execution: Developing and successfully implementing a business plan that is aligned with the corporate strategy to deliver the Americas revenue goal for the BNS market. This includes sales strategies, as well as tactics to promote awareness of Waters BNS solutions (e.g., marketing communications, seminars, user meetings, customer visits, representation at relevant meetings and tradeshows).
    • Strategic Sales Development: Providing guidance and support to the Waters sales organization with the development/implementation of their regional business plan and ensuring that these business plans are aligned with Waters’ overall BNS business goals and objectives.
    • Business Reporting: Maintaining appropriate records of sales and sales forecasts for the purpose of measuring achievement of budgeted goal. Communicating business metrics to senior and executive management teams.
    • Market Trend Analysis: Spotting new and emerging trends in the BNS and overall food and environmental markets for the purposes of strategic activity development, application development or product development and communicating these to the Americas Marketing and Global Marketing management groups. Fully understand, maintain and report on competitive products and positioning.
    • Support of Field Sales Organization: Maintaining regular dialogue and assisting with the activities of Americas Field Sales Organization for tactical solutions promotion, as well as, post-sales customer satisfaction.
    • Advocate for Internal and External Customer Needs:  Being an advocate for Americas’ internal and external customers such that training, product, services, and business requirements are met.  Work across multiple product, service, vertical market, and geographic organizations to build consensus and influence to affect change.  




    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline including, but not exclusive to, chemistry, biology, microbiology, food science, or human nutrition
    • 3+ years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably with experience in applied markets such as food testing, nutritional or supplement manufacturing, natural product or food ingredient businesses or similar.
    • Clear ability to develop and execute business plans
    • Excellent interpersonal skills: communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively
    • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet Waters core values
    • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all corporate departments
    • Self-motivated with the ability to flexibly respond to changing demands
    • Up to 50% travel
    • Position is preferred to be Milford, MA-based, but not required
