  • Overview

    The Principal, Professional Service Readiness & Enablement is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle on behalf of the worldwide Professional Services organization to ensure that the products are engineered to meet serviceability and cost objectives, that the worldwide Professional Service organizations are trained and ready to support the products at launch, as well as to ensure that the in-market performance is in-line with established operational and financial Key Performance Indicators.



    The Principal, Professional Service Readiness & Enablement will also be responsible for working with Field organization as well as the internal organization in the design, development and deployment associated with new Professional Service Tools and Services offerings.


    • Establish and lead cross-functional Global Services teams, inclusive of Informatics Professional Services, and Customer Services delivery organizations to develop, define, and oversee the execution of critical program elements.


    • Lead cross-functional priority setting and resource allocation relative to each program, project and/or initiative.


    • Leads the Services Engineering function focused on defining, designing and delivering Services Tools and Services products to the Professional Services Delivery Teams.


    • Develop and maintain multiple complex technical program plans that include diverse practices, services and/or initiatives. Facilitates, coordinates and leads cross-functional teams to complete multiple complex technical program and/or project plans, tasks and milestones. Ensures completion of all specific deliverables and tactical initiatives required to support initiatives. May facilitate partner alignment and maintain partner relationships with cross-functional Waters groups to ensure successful completion of program deliverables.


    • Communicate program initiatives and status across Global Services’ core business units, product development teams, and partners. Develops and manages communication and coordination of cross functional teams across all areas. Defines and reports program roadmap, status, readiness issues, and success metrics.


    • Support, manage, and influence continuous improvement of the product/solution development lifecycle process, practices and initiatives.


    • Identify, escalate and ensure resolution of issues impacting successful execution of programs.


    • Monitors the implementation of serviceability features and provides frequent updates to Global Services and Product Development leadership.


    • Drives development of product and service/support process improvement proposals based on cost analysis of root cause findings


    • Drives/guides implementation of Service offerings


    • Works on strategically important and complex products and programs which may require enhancements to existing Service offerings



    • BA/BS Required; Master preferred. Degree in Science related discipline preferred, MBA preferred


    • 10+ Plus years in technology or scientific product industry; Leadership roles in product lifecycle / product management; People or Product/Business Unit management; Global responsibility
