    Waters Taunton, Massachusetts Operation is seeking a qualified candidate for a Technical Training Expert. The Technical Trainer is responsible for all training activities related to the manufacturing of chromatographic media.


    • 10-20 hrs per week performing hands-on training of operators, using this time to perform initial training approvals and recertification of previously trained operators
    • Initially perform major overhaul of work instructions to create a standard across all procedures. After initial rewrite, continually update and modify procedures. Review and rewrite R&D transferred procedures to match manufacturing standard
    • Perform monthly higher level presentations in different areas of manufacturing.
    • Manage and assess training documentation for all Manufacturing personnel
    • Build annual training programs and prepare teaching plans
    • Interact with internal and external auditors regarding training
    • Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions
    • Identify training needs for manufacturing personnel by evaluating strengths and weaknesses
    • Translate requirements into trainings that will prepare employees for the next step of their career path
    • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior
    • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure best practices are being employed




    • BS degree in Training, Technical Writing, or technical discipline
    • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
    • 5+yrs Technical writing experience
    • Experience leading a defined training program
    • Familiar with LEAN manufacturing principles
    • Experience with traditional and modern training methods
    • Experience giving training presentations
    • Occasional flexible schedule to cover training requirements across a three shift operation
    • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and in database software
