Waters is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of a Biopharmaceutical Sales Specialist. Organizations throughout the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry are increasing their investments in biopharmaceutical therapies. In this rapidly-evolving field, there is a widespread need for application-appropriate technologies. Strategic characterization technologies provide unique insights into the development potential of large molecule therapeutics.  A first-line analysis of complex biotherapeutics that is rich with information can save significant time and development costs during production.


Waters' latest innovations in specialty measurements are designed to address the multi-faceted analytical needs of large molecule characterization and quantitation – from innovator biopharmaceuticals, to biosimilars, to antibody drug conjugates– and to keep pace with the regulatory changes that impact development laboratories. 

The Biopharma Sales Specialist will support the MidAtlantic/PA/Southeast region. The role will cover from update NY down through the state of Florida. The main concentration will be between Philadelphia to North Carolina. The ideal candidate should be centrally located within the region.



  • Aggressively develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts while maintaining current customer base for assigned market
  • Perform solution based selling to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Implement strategic sales initiatives into the district that are consistent with corporate goals and objectives
  • Keep current on assigned market dynamics, application trends, and competitive information
  • Manage forecasting, establishment of sales goals and pipeline management
  • Maintain installed based customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain technical competency with Waters solutions to be recognized by customers as a credible resource
  • Fully utilize our sales contact management tools and applications.
  • Participate in trade shows and local technical seminars as required
  • Travel within the territory will be at least 50%


  • Degree BS / Master / PHD in scientific areas: such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry
  • At least 3 years experience chromatography. UPLC, Mass Spec, field sales and / or marketing is a plus
  • Action orientation and self-driven for results
  • Demonstrated experience in a team oriented environment
  • Strong communication and presentation Skills
  • Good organization / planning / time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
  • Positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
  • Adaptive to dynamic and changing environment
  • Strong technical background in Analytical Technologies, LC and MS especially
