Overview

Waters Corporation is seeking a dynamic Sr. Customer Service Representative to process orders and respond to customer inquiries in our fast-paced Chemistry/Consumables Customer Service Center  The individual selected for this position will be a critical member of the Americas Order Services Team and will have a passion for delighting our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Primary focus includes processing telephone, fax and mail-in orders as well as return authorizations and quotations for spare parts and chemistry products in a fast-paced call center environment.  Candidate will research requests for information using available resources and follow up with internal and external customers when necessary.
  • The ideal candidate will also provide service support to sales reps and in-house personnel and possess the ability to troubleshoot customer issues and understand pricing/discount options.
  • Additional requirements for this role include senior level customer service skills, call center experience and large account management exposure. 

 

The hours for this position are currently 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years Customer Service experience
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience with reviewing and interpreting purchase order terms and conditions
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Guidelines and ISO Work Instructions
  • Prior experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a plus
  • Order entry accuracy, prioritization, sense of urgency, attention to detail
  • High energy, reliability, creativity & multi-tasking skills
  • Efficient and professional order processing with a sense of ownership to ensure that the customer receives a comprehensive & satisfactory order placement experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Can-do attitude and team spirit

Candidate must be completely PC literate and familiar with desktop applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and Lotus Notes.  Prior experience with SAP business applications is helpful but not necessary
