Overview

Critical to the growth of the company is the continued innovation of product. This is an immediate opening for a full-time Chemistry Technician within ERA’s Process Waters Consumables (PWC) Product Line. The PWC team produces Total Organic Carbon (TOC) calibration and QC standards, System Suitability Standards, Conductivity and Turbidity standards, and other similar process waters testing products. 

 

The position is located in Golden, Colorado, relocation for this position will not be provided. 

ERA/Waters in Golden provides products and materials according to its accreditations:

  • ISO/IEC Guide 34:2009– General requirements for competence of reference material producers
  • ISO/IEC 17025:2005– General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories
  • ISO/IEC 17043:2010– General requirements for proficiency testing 
  • ISO 9001:2008– Quality management systems-requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing, analytical verification, packaging, and labeling of all PWC products
  • Documentation of production and packaging
  • Creation of product labels and Certificates of Analysis
  • Inventory control of PWC products; Inventory and ordering of packaging supplies
  • Processing, packaging, and shipping of daily customer orders
  • Coordinate daily deliverables to meet customer deadlines
  • Assist customers with technical support, SDS and Certificate of Analysis requests
  • Assists other groups when needed as a cross functional resource

Mentorship Responsibilities:

  • Works with Quality personnel concerning product / packaging issues to drive error reduction
  • Assists in authoring validation plans for new products and equipment
  • Leads and supports the execution of validation plans
  • Drives change and efficiency gains via process improvement
  • Coordinates process compatibility, deliverables and inventory with Wexford Ireland facility
  • Communicate with Sales & Customer Service regarding customer deliveries and order planning

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S./B.A. in Chemistry and 3-5 years of laboratory related work experience
  • 1 year leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience
  • Fine motor skills and attention to detail
  • Multitasking ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel
  • TOC and Conductivity instrumentation experience recommended
  • Aseptic techniques and/or experience working with low level analytes a plus
  • CRM software experience such as Siebel a plus
