This position represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced scientist to perform evaluation of novel technologies utilizing liquid chromatography (LC) based tests. The candidate will work closely with project team members from Engineering, Software Development, Marketing, Global Services, R&D and other organizations to support the development of LC products to enhance Waters position in a highly dynamic market.


  • Design and execute test strategies based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Setup and install Waters Chromatography Data Systems on workstations and in network environments.
  • Setup, operate and maintain LC systems and general lab equipment.
  • Create and maintain records of test related activities.
  • Collaborate with project team members.
  • Report and present at internal meetings when appropriate.


  • BS in analytical chemistry or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years industry experience.
  • A familiarity with Waters software and/or chromatography systems is required.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment is required.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects his highly desired.
  • Experience in LC method development is highly desired.
  • Experience in LC System troubleshooting is highly desired.
  • Experience in various types of separations techniques for small molecules, peptides, proteins (ie: HPLC, UPLC, SFC etc.) is desired.
  • Proficiency in LC/MS techniques is desired.
