Overview

Waters Corporation is currently seeking a Financial Analyst III to support our Informatics organization within the Waters Global Products Group.  This position provides accounting, analysis, reporting, budget & forecast support, and is responsible for assisting the operational directors with analyzing the business and initiating change through the strategic use of information.

 Informatics:  Responsible for helping the business team manage the Global software business.  This position will provide support for the development of models supporting product commercialization, month-end close, reporting, and departmental budgets & forecasts. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to the Informatics team including weekly dashboards, month-end close, budgets, forecasts, reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Work in collaboration with business team to drive and own the software capitalization process
  • Provide financial support for the development of models for software pricing and commercialization decisions, and product development portfolio management
  • Interact with colleagues of all levels to resolve accounting related issues
  • Team player who will perform ad hoc financial models and reports as well as other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

 

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Candidate will possess a BS in Finance/Accounting or related business degree, MBA a plus, with 5 years of progressive accounting experience preferably within a publicly traded software company or manufacturing company
  • Position requires advanced analytical skills along with organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality/timely output
  • Must be able to work closely in a team environment with all levels of an organization, and have the communication skills and poise to do so effectively
  • A driven, self starter who can initiate and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Position requires a blend of solid accounting and financial analysis
  • SAP/BW/BPC preferred with advanced systems skills and data management/Excel skills (pivots, v-lookups, automation techniques)
