Overview

Waters Corporation is seeking a talented Financial Analyst II to partner with and support our Global Marketing Organization. The Financial Analyst will help the business team understand their business, react to changes, and identify future opportunities through ad hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. 

 

The Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting our Global Marketing Services team, who is responsible for our Global Marketing strategies, branding, digital and traditional marketing, tradeshows, seminars, etc. This includes all accounting, annual planning (budget), forecasting, and reporting associated with the various departments and initiatives managed by Marketing Services.

 

Position reports into the Global Marketing Finance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business support to help internal customers be successful through detailed monitoring of expenses, headcount, and capital.
  • Manage and execute month end closing activities including journal entries, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, headcount and capital.
  • Responsible for the creation of departmental expense budgets, reporting and analyzing actual results versus budget, and helping management track to budget.
  • Foster business partnerships with the generation and presentation of monthly and quarterly reports that help operational directors better understand their business.
  • Responsible for the annual operating plan process for the groups supported.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis upon request.
  • Consolidation of the financials for the Global Marketing organization.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting with a publicly traded company.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills required. Experience with SAP is an advantage, with solid skills in Excel and data management a must.
  • Must be able to work closely in a team environment and have the communication skills and poise to do so effectively.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting a Marketing organization is an advantage.
