Overview

Waters/ERA in Golden Colorado, is currently leading a search for a Production Chemistry Technician I to join our company.  In this role, the individual will help manufacture and package products assigned to the Waters Analytical Standards & Reagents Team.  This position will work daily to meet production requirements and delivery schedules of high quality products.

Responsibilities

 

Production

  • Production/manufacturing of chemical solutions to specifications – may include some analytical verification
  • Packaging, flame sealing, labelling, organization and storage of Work in Progress (WIP)
  • Generation and review of manufacturing bench sheets, certification documentation and associated customer facing documents
  • Assist with packaging and shipment of completed products to meet delivery dates

 Quality

  • Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance to specification by ensuring proper manufacturing, packaging, labelling and production documentation meet quality control requirements
  • Focus on process control to avoid customer impacted Service Requests; Attention to detail, organization and ability to work quickly without errors
  • Responsible for following written work procedures and SOPs to avoid variation in process
  • Assist team in updating and improving processes and updating SOPs documents; Assist team in constant improvement and solutions to problems/issues while increasing efficiency

 

Communications & Other Tasks 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work on independently and within a Team environment with individual expectations, production and delivery rates
  • Quality Investigations; Use of Lean Manufacturing tools for problem solving; Focus on Health & Safety Issues
  • Must be willing to perform repetitive routine tasks consistently as well as non-routine tasks; Assist in other areas when required

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in chemistry or applied science field or 1+ years of laboratory related work experience
  • Critical thinking using sound judgement, organization and ability to work quickly without errors
  • Ability to work with your hands requiring dexterity to handle small containers and laboratory materials
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs
  • Familiar with various Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.); Experience with SAP preferred but not required
