Waters is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of a Mass Spectrometry Specialist. Responsibilities include driving sales of our Mass Spectrometer product line including tandem quadrupole and time of flight instruments - as well as promote solutions across all product lines including LC, Software, Consumables and Services, for the region.


The desired candidate should be a self starter in developing and implementing a Territory Business Plan working in unison with their assigned account managers, specialists and marketing colleagues in delivering an aggressive call cycle and business development activities. 


The foundation of the Mass Spectrometry Specialist role is to develop a keen understanding of the customers’ needs and challenges, designing solutions with lasting and meaningful business impact to our customers.  This position will be part of the Northeast region which is comprised of MA, NH, ME and VT.


  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets
  • Aggressively develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts
  • Visit customers on a daily basis to highlight Waters solutions and help customers with their challenges
  • Work with Account Managers to develop a territory business plan
  • Build technical competency on Waters solutions and to be perceived by customers as a credible resource





  • Minimum BS in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field. Advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 3 years mass spectrometry experience including quadrapole and time of flight mass spectrometry.
  • Previous field sales or marketing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the pharmaceutical market application areas
