Waters Corporation is currently leading a search for a Training and Development Specialist, Specialty Separations to join our Global Services Education team.  In this role, the Training and Development Specialist will deliver and maintain engaging and impactful training courses for services personnel in support of Waters delivering world renowned service.


  • Support the global curriculum for Waters speciality separations products, and maintain comprehensive learning paths for Waters services personnel.
  • Revise and maintain courses for Waters internal and external customers, and ensure associated blended learning activities enable customer success throughout the complete customer experience.
  • Pilot new course activities and training content with representative/intended audiences, continually monitor training effectiveness, and make improvements to prior work.​
  • Deliver technical training courses to services personnel, evaluate and report on course attendees, and review and respond to attendees’ course assessments.
  • Assist in definition of training needs in terms of product, learner, and business requirements.   Work with senior colleagues to identify intended audiences, perform task analyses, and define learning objectives.​
  • Partner with Global Service Support and learning architecture teams to define training content requirements and ensure training deliverables are fit-for-purpose.​
  • Foster constructive and cooperative working relationships with marketing, professional services, service support, and services engineering groups.​
  • Maintain technical knowledge and instructional design acumen, and present to colleagues on select topics.​
  • Represent Global Services Education by participating on Waters Global Services project teams, and attend services meetings to present on training developments​.


  • BS/BSc or higher in analytical chemistry, biology, or related science; MS/MSc or PhD is beneficial.
  • 2+ years of work experience specializing in liquid chromatography within the pharmaceutical, clinical, fine chemical, or food/environmental industry.
  • Prior experience delivering technical training courses is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with Waters separations systems is beneficial.
