Waters Corporation is looking for a Senior Global Quality Program Manager to provide leadership and management of global programs as they pertain to Global Quality strategy, Waters business strategy, and each business unit strategy.  This position will work with all Waters’ sites and respective Quality organizations and other functions to drive key programs and continuous improvement initiatives.  Sites include, but not limited to Milford, MA; Taunton, MA; Wilmslow, UK; Wexford, Ireland; and WPPL Singapore.  This position will work closely with key functional representatives, key business leaders as appropriate, and provide necessary support to Global Quality and other organizations.  This position will work with all employees and external stakeholders as needed to drive the key programs and deliver on the results.  This position will operate within matrix organization as well as perform its duties and responsibilities to meet all applicable internal and external requirements, policies and regulations such as EU ISO, US FDA, global guidelines and standards, and company policies and procedures.


Reporting to the Sr. Director, Quality Services, this Senior Global Quality Program Manager will lead assigned individuals, teams and applicable extended members within a wide range of disciplines including but not limited in order to:

  • Design Quality (hardware, consumables)
  • Engineering & Operations QA
  • Business Development
  • Supply Chain including Sourcing, Procurement, Planning
  • Manufacturing and Operations
  • Quality Management Systems
  • Informatics Quality
  • Finance and Human Resources
  • IT/Business Technologies
  • Global Services and Support

This Senior Global Quality Program Manager will assist Senior Director, Quality Services, to execute on the strategic direction of the company’s Global Quality strategies, goals and objectives while providing necessary project leadership to key business initiatives, and operates within the necessary business and quality policies and procedures. 


This position will also provide recommendations, coaching, advice, and solutions that are sound and meets both business and functional needs.  This position will also develop appropriate procedures, processes and systems across multiple sites, and lead key harmonization and standardization projects.  This position will operate with all levels of the organization, able to drive and execute at both tactical and strategic levels to drive Quality efforts and efficiencies including the business process improvements, product and process quality improvements, QMS improvement projects, business development projects (such as due diligence, acquisition assessments) and lead other operational excellence initiatives.


The individual is also responsible for maintaining a satisfactory level of compliance regarding all associated projects and initiatives which need to meet global regulatory, quality and customer-related requirements affiliated with appropriate ISO and international regulatory requirements (US FDA, USDA or equivalent, Pharma requirements, Canada, China FDA, etc.).


Scope of leadership of leading global projects including working closely with multiple sites to cover:


  • Coordination and communication of projects including financial analysis, resources planning, project schedules, oversight of sub-teams, and project recommendations
  • Provides inputs and contribute to strategic vision of Global Quality organization
  • Acts as an liaison between Global Quality and all other functions
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and to budget
  • Assist with assessments and investigations as appropriate
  • Meets GMP/FDA/ISO and other international requirements
  • Quality Management System harmonization and standardization
  • Quality operational excellence projects
  • Process, systems and technology development and recommendations
  • Business development requests (e.g. due diligence)
  • Support key initiatives and worldwide activities to represent the interests of Global Quality
  • QMS elements enhancements including design & development, risk management, supplier quality, third party audits, customer interface process improvements, service interface and others as identified
  • Interface with all functions across all sites as appropriate to ensure that project teams are strong, aligned, executes and delivers on the performance expectations
  • Interface with customers and other external stakeholders as needed to drive and implement key projects


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or related fields of study
  • PMO experience
  • Experience with leading complex and large projects across multiple sites
  • Solid knowledge of QMS and global standards and regulations
  • Substantial experience leading a Quality function

  • Demonstrated experience with Quality Management Systems in a regulated industry (ISO 13485, 9001, US FDA QSR, CFDA, KFDA, ANVISA, etc. )
