Reporting to the Vice President of Global Marketing, this newly created position will establish the vision and strategic plan for Waters’ products/solutions across the global organization.


As the Senior Director, Product Marketing, you will help build a world class product marketing function that will have ownership of the solutions strategy, as well as all commercialization activities. 


Partnership with Commercial VP’s and Market Segment leaders along with the Product Owners in the product groups is expected to drive our position as the world’s leading Specialty Measurement Company.


Solutions Strategy

  • Develop, align and prioritize Waters overall product/solutions road map to deliver complete, differentiated solutions
  • Lead the Product Marketing team, responsible for coordination of all commercialization activites and market success of all new products/solutions.
  • Manage global pricing for products and solutions.
  • Define product/solution segmentation and positioning.
  • Develop deep understanding of competitor product/solution strategies. 


Product Marketing

  • Develop customer insights and personas for products/solutions to drive content strategy, value propositions and solutions road map.
    • Work closely with marketing communications, market segment leaders and scientific teams on content/digital marketing strategy, branding and value propositions.
    • Work closely with Product Owners and R&D to execute product/solutions road maps and to drive innovation.
    • Develop, rationalize and prioritize business cases to support requests for new products/solutions. 
    • Work closely with corporate development office and market segment leaders on external business development. 
  • Develop and execute strong marketing plans by product/solution
    • Work closely with field marketing and sales management to develop and execute marketing plan.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for the field on products and solutions.
  • Lead, develop & motivate a direct team of marketing professionals and influence cross-functional teams across the organization



  • Minimum BS in Technology or Business related field. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading product marketing teams in a technology domain
  • Proven track record of implementing 'Go To Market' product strategies, and ability to execute strategy within a matrix environment
  • Ability to effectively influence at the executive level and within peer group
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Global management experience preferred
