Overview

Waters Corporation is looking for a self-motivated Systems Administrator who is interested in working as part of a group committed to the varied and challenging work relating to Systems Administration in a dynamic business environment. The Systems Administrator would take direction from the senior staff in the group.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Install, deploy, and upgrade Intel based servers including hardware, software, and storage  
  • Support and manage Active Directory and VMware 

  • Experience with Powershell/PowerCLI and/or shell scripting 

  • Participate in the review and implementation process for remote Business Continuance centers and other high-availability options 

  • Secondary responsibilities will include supporting areas such as SAP, EMC NetWorker, O365, AWS, and various others 

  • You will also act as an escalation point for our Help Desk team and will share in our 24/7 on-call responsibilities 

Preferred Experience:

 

  • Experience with Windows enterprise applications such as: Active Directory, ADFS, IIS, and MS SQL 
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux based Operating Systems 

  • Moderate understanding of networking technologies (subnetting, routing, DHCP, DNS, etc.) 

  • Experience with monitoring infrastructure (Solarwinds, SNMP, WMI, etc.) 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred 
  • Minimum 4+ years experience with system integration in a multi-platform environment.  

  • Excellent knowledge Enterprise level heterogenous and heavily virtualized environments. 

  • Motivated to learn about new technologies and present new ideas for solving problems.
