Waters is currently seeking a Section Lead for the Production and Manufacturing Operation in Sharpsburg, PA.  In this position you'll have the opportunity to work in a fast paced work environment, assembling and testing scientific instruments.


With limited supervision:


  • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels of the team.
  • Leads production department, including kitting and system packaging.
  • Daily monitoring of the preset schedule to insure timely completion of production orders, and packaging of systems.
  • Daily monitoring on reported shortages, quality incidents or production problems resulting in corrective actions to remedy the situation.
  • Helps direct technical and department policy/ procedure decisions.
  • Make sound decisions when presented with issues of quality and output.
  • Actively makes recommendations for process improvements.
  • Active in problem solving/process improvement teams.
  • Leads production meetings.
  • Act as backup for department manager as required.



  • High School Degree Required.
  • Experience working in a customer oriented environment with a proven track record in leadership.
  • 3+ years experience in electromechanical assembly and test environment preferred.
  • Additional ongoing education and classes in electro-mechanical and test strongly preferred.
  • Preferred experience in SFC/SFE and/or fluidics.
  • Personal computer navigation knowledge. Experience in SAP, word processing, database management and spreadsheet preparation is a plus.
