Overview

This position reports to the Director, Finance Transformation, and will represent the Finance strategy, with a focus on Record to Report (RTR), on our S4 HANA R3 enterprise program as an expert – making high impact decisions on the direction of this transformational program. They will also be responsible for coordinating and directing regional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), managing collaboration among cross functional teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering the program on time. The ideal candidate would have deep experience in SAP implementation, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive a significant finance transformation.

The position requires strong collaboration, financial acumen, willingness to challenge the status quo, communication, sense of urgency, ability to execute, leadership, and change management skills as well as experience driving business change projects. 

Responsibilities

Drive the planning, execution and delivery of the SAP S/4HANA R3 implementation program across multiple geographies for Finance and RTR.

Partner with cross-functional BD teams to document processes that are impacted by the ERP (both conveyed and BDX employees) with a focus on harmonization.

Lead a team of regional Subject Matter Experts, coordinating efforts and identification of any required localization activities.

Participate in and support the program governance structure including preparing for and attending weekly team update calls and change control processes.

Drive detailed data analysis to support and determine the path to harmonization across the RTR teams and communication of those standardization efforts.

Collaborate with Finance, IT and system integrator partners to ensure agreement and alignment on goals, timelines and deliverables.

Responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks and issues. Ensure timely resolution and escalation when necessary.

Qualifications

 

  • Approximately 8-12+ years of experience in Finance and Shared Services.
  • Experience in a global, dynamic, and deadline driven environment.
  • Experience with Internal Controls and SOX/404 requirements
  • Experience in Process Mapping and Change Management.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve problems that may be related to process, technology, or strategy.
  • Expert on all details regarding Record to Report Service infrastructure and organization design.
  • Expert functional knowledge of key business processes (RTR); demonstrated business acumen to learn other business disciplines.
  • Prior business case development experience a plus.
  • Experience with implementation of technology programs that support global process improvement. SAP Preferred. Ability to quickly learn and productively use new software applications.

Strong demonstrated experience in project/service line management
