Overview

Role Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of customer software implementations within the Professional Services organization. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while driving high customer satisfaction and measurable business outcomes.

The Project Manager acts as the central point of coordination between customers, sales, product, and delivery teams—ensuring alignment, proactive risk management, and execution excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of software solutions from kickoff through go-live and transition to support
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation
  • Ensure adherence to implementation methodology, governance, and quality standards

Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during implementation
  • Establish strong relationships with executive sponsors and project stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular status meetings, steering committees, and executive updates
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and outcomes

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consultants, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure successful delivery
  • Drive accountability across all stakeholders for assigned tasks and deliverables

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively
  • Manage scope changes through formal change control processes
  • Escalate critical issues appropriately and drive timely resolution

Financial & Operational Management

  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, and profitability (where applicable)
  • Track utilization and ensure efficient use of Professional Services resources
  • Ensure accurate and timely project reporting in internal systems (e.g., PSA tools)

Quality & Outcomes

  • Ensure solutions are delivered in alignment with customer business requirements
  • Drive adoption and realization of defined success criteria
  • Support post-implementation handoff to Customer Success and Support teams

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software implementations
  • Proven track record managing complex, customer-facing projects
  • Strong understanding of software implementation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira)

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
  • Experience in Professional Services or consulting organizations
  • Familiarity with SaaS delivery models and cloud-based applications
  • Experience managing enterprise-level accounts
