Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workplace Design Lead / Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, and execution of workplace environments that enhance functionality, brand identity, and employee experience. This role combines strategic workplace design expertise with hands-on project management, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in workplace design, interior architecture, and facilities management, with strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams, consultants, and contractors.

 

This is a hybrid role based out of Milford, MA 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).

Responsibilities

Design & Workplace Strategy

  • Lead design projects, refurbishments, and workplace fit-outs from concept through completion.
  • Apply design expertise to integrate brand identity and workplace functionality.
  • Oversee furniture procurement and installation assuring workplace standards are met and comply.
  • Drive innovation in workplace design partnering with IT on all A/V and technology integrations.
  • Manage space planning and utilization strategies.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure compliance with building codes, HSE regulations, and sustainability standards.

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables; track progress and manage resources.
  • Oversee project execution ensuring completion on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Facilitate coordination among internal teams, consultants, vendors, and contractors.
  • Review technical documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage construction phase activities including RFPs, submittals, change orders, and quality control.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Anticipate, understand, and manage client expectations while maintaining project goals.
  • Lead presentations, design workshops, and project meetings.

Facilities & Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day workplace operations.
  • Monitor vendor performance including budget, scope, and deliverables.
  • Ensure operational standards and workplace experience initiatives align with company culture.
  • Work cross functionally across IT, Security, HSE, Facilities, Procurement and CRE.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in workplace, or interior design.
  • Current Licensed Architect or Interior Designer preferred.
  • Proven leadership in managing complex design and construction projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong technical skills in AutoCAD (2D/3D essential), with working knowledge of Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated knowledge industry standards, and sustainable design practices.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills with confidence in leading presentations and negotiations.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring budgets and project fees.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
