Waters has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Director or Senior Manager on the Corporate Tax Team. The Team provides global income tax planning, quarterly financial reporting and US tax compliance support to the global organization. The Corporate Tax Group is part of the Corporate Finance team. The Tax Director will report to the Vice President of Tax and will work collaboratively with 5 tax professionals and extended finance team. The tax team will be expanding further in anticipation of the announced transaction with BD.
Responsibilities
· Lead special income tax projects – for business planning/acquisitions and matters related to law changes – utilize outside advisors as needed
· Significant opportunities with expected changes from announced transaction to acquire businesses from BD
· Work with outside advisors on Transfer Pricing matters; prepare YE TP adjustments and Intercompany cross-charges
· Coordinate on aspects of Quarterly and YE Financial Reporting under ASC 740 for U.S. public company filings; includes significant foreign operations; use OneSource Tax Provision
· Coordinate on aspects of federal and state tax filings related to income tax and franchise tax, including quarterly estimates and extension using OneSource Income Tax. Review and analysis of all underlying workpapers supporting tax positions taken on returns
· Review aspects of international tax compliance for U.S. filings including the e&p and tested income calculations and forms 5471 and 8858; familiarity with technical issues around GILTI, FDII, BEAT, 163(j); coordinate with Treasury department on intercompany distributions
· Keep current on tax law changes including US OBBB, OECD and EU matters
· Audit defense for income tax audits by US federal and other tax authorities as needed
Qualifications
Education/Credentials: BS or BA; CPA, MST or JD a plus
Experience: Public accounting experience; 8+ years of experience
