Overview

Waters Corporation is seeking a Senior Change Management Leader to drive the design and execution of our change management strategy, ensuring a smooth transition that accelerates adoption, minimizes disruption, and maximizes business value.

 

The ideal candidate brings deep change management experience, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), proven success developing and operationalizing integration playbooks, and the ability to coach senior leaders through complex organizational change. This role is both strategic and hands-on, from assessing change impact to leading large-scale change initiatives. The successful candidate will enhance team capabilities while building rigor and process to ensure effective change management.

 

This is a hybrid role based in Milford, MA.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute the overarching change management and communications strategy for integrations, aligned with business objectives and transformation goals.
  • Craft a compelling vision and business case for change, ensuring clarity of purpose and alignment across all levels.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and change readiness assessments to identify key influencers, resistors, and champions.
  • Design a comprehensive integration playbook and set of training and enablement materials to standardize future change initiatives.
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation planning for all change activities.

 

Execution & Leadership

  • Partner with senior executives, business leaders, and HR to align change activities with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors, integration leaders, and functional leads.
  • Champion a people-first approach to integration, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and supported through transition.
  • Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.

 

Training, Communications, and Enablement

  • Develop and deliver training materials, workshops, and toolkits to equip managers and employees for change.
  • Oversee the creation of clear, timely communications to drive transparency and trust.
  • Monitor adoption and engagement metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize outcomes.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and supervisors to help them lead their teams through transitions.

 

Continuous Improvement & Playbook Development

  • Codify best practices and lessons learned into a repeatable integration playbook and change management framework for future acquisitions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of change tools, templates, and methodologies.
  • Document all change management activities and ensure documentation is updated and maintained.

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of experience in organizational change management, including 5+ years supporting M&A integrations or large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-wide change strategies in complex, global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of M&A lifecycle activities, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-close execution.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Experience developing and delivering training and enablement programs.
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
