In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced, Agile environment with a diverse team that shares a passion for digital innovation, customer experience, and data-driven outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Waters.com by leading the strategy and execution of on-site search and AI-powered search capabilities. Your work will directly impact how customers discover, navigate, and engage with content and products across our digital ecosystem.

 

As the Senior Digital Product Owner, Search Experience, you will own the product vision, roadmap, and performance of Waters’ on-site and AI-enhanced search platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, intelligent, and personalized search experiences that drive customer satisfaction, engagement, and business results.

 

Focus Areas:

  • Lead the transformation of Waters.com search capabilities, integrating AI and machine learning to deliver smarter, more relevant search results.
  • Partner with stakeholders across divisions to define and implement a strategic roadmap for search experience optimization.
  • Ensure the search platform supports business goals such as product discovery, content relevance, and customer conversion.
  • Continuously improve search algorithms, UX, and data integration to enhance performance and personalization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep understanding of customer behavior, search analytics, and business needs to inform search strategy.
  • Analyze current search performance and find opportunities for improvement using data-driven insights.
  • Translate business and user requirements into clear, actionable user stories and product features.
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog focused on enhancing search relevance, speed, and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with UX designers and developers to deliver high-impact search features.
  • Validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on search KPIs including click-through rates, conversion, bounce rates, and zero-result queries.
  • Advocate for customer-centric design and AI-driven personalization in all search-related initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry trends in search technology, AI, and digital experience.

This is a hybrid role working from Milford, MA office 3 days a week (Tuesday to Thursday)

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing digital search platforms, including AI-enhanced or semantic search technologies.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across Product, Marketing and IT.
  • Skilled in backlog management, Agile methodologies, and product lifecycle planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Adobe Analytics or similar.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey product vision and performance insights.
  • Experience with platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, SOLR, or similar search technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in search and recommendation systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Product Design, Business, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in digital product management.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA required.
