Overview

Waters Corporation is currently seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Sustainability Data Manager to join the Global Real Estate, Facilities & HSE team. The HSE and Sustainability Data Manager is an integral part of the Real Estate and HSE team supporting Waters Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability strategies and initiatives by enabling a culture of data-driven decision making. This role blends advanced data analytics with project management to drive decision making, improved portfolio performance, and to advance the company’s sustainability goals.

 

This is a hybrid role that requires working from Milford, MA office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

1. Data Strategy & Governance
a. Develop and implement global data governance frameworks for HSE and sustainability metrics.
b. Develop and implement a standardized process for integrating data into all management software.
c. Establish and maintain protocols for monitoring and maintaining the integrity and transparency of data intake and validation processes.


2. Platform Management
a. Own and manage global HSE and sustainability software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Power BI, Celonis).
b. Lead system integration with HR and IT platforms and oversee troubleshooting and upgrades.
c. Conduct strategic analysis of current and future HSE and Sustainability data systems’ needs to enhance existing data management and reporting requirements.
d. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for HSE & sustainability platforms.

3. Reporting & Analytics
a.  Manage the monthly & quarterly data collection process for metrics and reporting of Sustainability and HSE data.
b.  Develop and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards and presentations to support the oversight and management of key metrics, indicators, and trends.
c.  Analyze HSE and sustainability data to identify trends, patterns, areas for improvement, and provide insights and recommendations to management for enhancing the company's HSE and Sustainability performance.

 

4.  Process Optimization
a. Implement automation and process enhancements to streamline data workflows.
b. Lead HSE and sustainability software and data migration strategies for M&A integrations. Including creating harmonized reporting processes and governance across the combined portfolio.

c. Support the team in the development of risk mitigation strategies based on data driven insights.
d.  Incorporate new metrics and data sources to provide a more comprehensive view of HSE & Sustainability performance.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration
a. Partner with global teams to resolve issues and ensure data integrity.
b. Provide data driven insights to guide capital planning, workplace strategies, and sustainability roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or metrics development within HSE or compliance-focused environment
    • Bachelor’s Degree or above
    • Prior experience with HSE data collection and metrics is a plus
    • Relevant coursework in data analysis, computer science, data extraction, data exploration and data visualization
    • Basic Knowledge of web development platforms, databases, and infrastructure.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Experience using Intelex, Power BI, and Celonis software platforms, preferred
