Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Product Management team and of software team to define software product strategies that will result in sustainable and profitable growth for MALS products
  • Maintain MALS product and release roadmaps guided by input from customers and field sales representatives that is supported by detailed market analysis
  • Visit high-value customers and ensure a strong “voice of customer” to generate a clear understanding of their challenges and needs
  • Inspire and influence colleagues to work across a matrix organization (Hardware R&D, Software R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, Service, Marketing, Sales)
  • Test new products and collaborate closely with software and hardware test teams
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure product launches are best in class and result in growth targets being met over the lifecycle of the product
  • Work closely with the Customer Support and Service team to prioritize and resolve customer issues associated with MALS products
  • Track metrics related to software products and customer satisfaction

The general base pay for this position ranges from $95,500/year to $127,500/year. Pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree required. Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or chemical engineering.
  • Three (3) years in sales/marketing/product management; Two (2) years in laboratory instrument support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with light scattering and/or HPLC.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on activities.
  • Open and effective communication style, excellent writing and public presentation skills, strong people skills, cross-organizational teamwork and the ability to interact with and influence the direction of key opinion leaders.
  • Understand and develop a Product Lifecycle for MALS instruments and its supporting software.
  • Ability to travel 20-25% of time both domestically and internationally.
