Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Brand & Content to lead our corporate brand and content strategy, ensuring a cohesive visual and messaging direction across all audiences globally.

 

The  Head of Brand & Content will drive affinity and awareness for the Waters brand through compelling visual content and stories.  This role ensures consistency across the Company's visual and verbal identity across all departments while working closely with the VP, Corporate Communications to champion and bring the Waters' brand strategy to life. The individual will lead a team of digital, video, and graphic design professionals, supporting the team in delivering high-impact content for internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate will be able to influence without authority, have proven creative leadership experience driving creative vision and strategy, and deep experience evolving and launching brands, and has as much passion for leading a team as they do for branding.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Brand Strategy & Governance: Define and implement corporate branding strategy, narrative, visual architecture, and brand governance framework. Drive brand alignment collaboratively across the enterprise through formal creative review and governance for product launches, events, and campaigns, ensuring consistency of message and visual execution.  
  • Creation of Brand Campaigns: Lead strategic development of multi-channel global brand campaigns that communicate Waters value proposition and create human connection.
  • Brand Advocacy & Enablement: Build brand evangelism amongst employees throughout organization and develop a team of employee brand ambassadors.  Educate and empower brand ambassadors to drive adoption; promote brand evangelism internally and externally.
  • Agency Leadership: Provide effective leadership of agency partnerships to ensure efficiency, consistency, and brand integrity. Serve as lead for key brand vendors including assessments and RFP decisions.
  • Brand Performance Tracking: Establish process to measure brand health and impact through ongoing tracking and analytics. Leverage customer insights to guide strategic brand decisions.
  • Brand Architecture & Positioning: Ensure alignment on brand structure, product branding, and naming conventions.
  • Champion the Brand Experience: From enterprise-wide instrument and software design guidelines to how we onboard employees, build a multi-year strategy to ensure the brand is lived through each customer, employee, potential employee and community experience. Provide guidance to maintain a cohesive brand experience.
  • Brand Integration for M&A: Develop and manage the playbook for brand integration for mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in brand management, with a proven track record of leading brand strategy and content teams.
  • Experience with global branding, brand campaign design and execution, and refreshing a brand.
  • Proven creative leadership experience driving creative vision and strategy.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, visual identity, and content creation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills with ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and providing effective leadership of external agency partnerships.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically with strong business acumen.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and report on brand performance and leverage customer insights.
  • Experience with collaboration, influencing without authority and working successfully with cross-functional matrix teams.
