Overview

As a department, the Global Operations Finance team provides accounting, analysis and reporting, support for our Global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Facilities & Quality functions within Waters.  This role will report directly to the Finance Manager of Global Supply Chain and will be the main point of contact for the VP of Global Procurement.

 

This is a Hybrid position in Milford, MA

Responsibilities

  • Enable and ensure profitable and cash-strong growth of the company by working with the Operations and Finance teams, every day, to influence results and drive accountability.
  • Main point of contact for the VP of Global Procurement while building and maintaining a strong relationship with him and his team, understanding their needs, and ensuring that financial strategies align with their needs.
  • Provide in depth PPV (Purchase Price Variance) financial analysis in support of various Global Procurement Projects
  • Own the Annual Operating plan, monthly close and forecasting process primarily for the Global Procurement organization, but also supporting the Sr Finance Mgr with Global Supply Chain organization as well.
  • Develop, establish, and maintain relationships between the Global Operations, Waters Division Finance teams and business partners in Operations.
  • Analyze and summarize – with business-critical insights – monthly management reports which will be submitted to Corporate FP&A and executive leadership.
  • Assess current financial processes and help to define both long-term and short-term improvement plans with an eye on continuous improvement.
  • Perform tactical accounting close duties including journal entries, capital and inventory accounting, balance sheet, headcount reconciliations and accruals.
  • Ensure general ledger accounts are accurate and are in accordance with GAAP, and system of SOX compliance and internal controls are maintained.
  • Act as a liaison to Internal and External audits; providing support as requested.

Develop and document work instructions and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and or Accounting.
  • 5 to 6+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in a global manufacturing organization; cost accounting experience a plus.
  • MBA or CPA is a plus.
