This position represents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic scientist with a curiosity about small molecule applications and marketing, to join our team and contribute directly to high value marketing campaigns by identifying and developing key applications for small molecule columns in the areas of pharmaceutical, food, environmental and many others. 

 

The candidate will play a key role in a diverse and highly impactful environment by contributing fundamental experimental insights that highlight chromatographic challenges and their solutions within the framework of the key marketing initiativesAs a member of this creative team, you will develop HPLC/UHPLC applications, take part in customer collaborations and scientific conferences to learn about real chromatographic challenges, and share insights while working collaboratively with the marketing team. 

 

In this dynamic role, it is key that the candidate possess a high level of attention to detail, be a creative problem solver, and be ready to work in an agile environment Excellent communication skills and ability to describe sophisticated concepts are key, as this scientist will directly support multiple targeted marketing campaigns with small molecule application work, seminars, webinars, and other training.  Application work will include both new column technologies in commercialization and legacy columns. 

 

The position offers an excellent opportunity for both professional and scientific growth, as it provides high visibility across the consumables team.    

 

This is a hybrid position located in Milford, MA

Responsibilities

Responsibilities 

  • Execute hypothesis-driven experimentation to highlight key chromatographic challenges and demonstrate impactful solutions with chromatographic columns. 
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop application plans for key campaigns and launches. 
  • Make key observations for fundamental insights to help steer prioritization of impactful application development and timelines. 
  • Present scientific findings and actively collaborate within cross-functional product development teams. 
  • Actively engage with campaign and commercialization teams to ensure successful alignment and execution. 
  • Write and contribute to technical reports, seminars, presentations, application notes and marketing collateral. 
  • Help maintain laboratory instruments while creating records and applying good documentation practices. 
  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging methods of analysis through literature, conferences, and exchanges with customers and collaborators. 
  • Enjoy sharing knowledge and ideas to train and educate others on your achievements.

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • BS in chemistry, or related discipline with 5+ years of experience, or master’s degree with 1-3 years of industry experience. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving background.   
  • Experience with experimental design and statistical analysis is a plus. 
  • Firsthand experience in liquid chromatography with optical and MS detection. 
  • Proficiency with lab instrumentation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.   
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skillsProven record of writing for and presenting to technical teams. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and amenability to a team environment. 
  • Creativity, inventiveness, and a keen curiosity about science.
