Overview

Waters Corporation is always looking to hire outstanding future talent for our company. The GO Strategy & Operational Excellence – Materials Management team is looking to hire a summer intern out of our Milford office. This internship is a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world's leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately ten weeks and the program will commence in the spring/summer of 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Supplier performance scorecard from MVP (minimum Viable product) state that measures On-time delivery and Purchase Order Confirmations accuracy to be a more comprehensive tool. So, incorporating non-conformance records (Quality system) along with other metrics that will provide key insights and trends so we can make significant improvements to our supply chain processes today.
  • Leverage existing data to accurately describe, optimise and forecast the organizations performance enabling data driven decisions that will improve business outcomes.
  • Use contemporary tools such as Power BI, Azure, Celonis and SAP to develop the necessary Materials Management (Procurement and Inbound logistics) datasets, tools, and metrics.
  • Take part in multiple global and organization-wide projects which enhance capabilities, increase effectiveness, flexibility and productivity enabling the transformation to a data driven globally connected manufacturing function.
  • Bridge communication between the business stakeholders and IT, ensuring change is understood, implemented, and adopted. So, providing functional and technical support including training of system functionality to end-users.
  • Be flexible with daily tasks, sometimes wearing multiple hats.

Qualifications specific to this role:

  • Logical and enterprise minded with the ability to draw data-driven conclusions, articulate trend and support root cause analysis with the business’ input
  • Analytically minded and data-driven with the ability to explore the existing data to help guide the process.
  • Effective communication skills are required, with the ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience within Supply Chain and Procurement for a manufacturer. Medical device or complex assembly & test experience preferred.
  • Significant data modelling, development and visualisation with systems experience including Power BI, Power Platform, Python, Azure Synapse, APO and SAP.
