In this role, reporting to the Director of Software Product Management, you will put users first and work cross-functionally to deliver world-changing products that empower the most innovative materials and chemical scientists. Starting with a deep understanding of user needs, you will define TA Instruments’ product vision and strategy and break down sophisticated problems, turning them into creative, actionable solutions.


This position will be hybrid at our New Castle, Delaware facility.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand the scientific software market, competition and user requirements in-depth.
  • Establish a compelling vision, strategy and reason for software for the labs of the future and achieve consensus from cross-functional team members and executives.
  • Develop software solutions to problems by collaborating across engineering, marketing, and other functions, developing clear roadmaps and requirements documentation.
  • Act as a leader with a point of view in product management for the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent
  • PhD and/or MBA degree preferred
  • 5 yrs Proven experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related roles
  • Passionate about user experience and solving problems with software, user research experience is a plus
  • Proven understanding of software development and engineering systems and methodologies
  • Proven understanding of materials characterization techniques.
